What each field means
deliveryCost· USD / M mensajes- Editorial calculation from vendor rates: 3 × operation price for SQS/Cloudflare; 10 × the price per 100K attempts for QStash. Review the category's assumptions.
retentionDays· días- Maximum time a message is kept in the queue; not log or DLQ retention.
delayMinutes· minutos- Maximum delay before a message is delivered. For SQS FIFO it is a queue-level setting.
Conditions and sources
SQS · Standard
us-east-1 scenario: 1M messages of 1 KiB, no batching or retries; 3M billed calls. Excludes free tier, KMS, network and execution. FIFO doesn't make your consumer's external writes atomic.
SQS · FIFO
us-east-1 scenario: 1M messages of 1 KiB, no batching or retries; 3M billed calls. Excludes free tier, KMS, network and execution. FIFO doesn't make your consumer's external writes atomic.
Cloudflare Queues · Paid
Scenario: 3M operations at $0.40/M = $1.20. Doesn't deduct the 1M included operations. The Workers Paid plan and execution are extra; retries add reads.
QStash · Pay as You Go
Rate $1 per 100K attempts = $10/M. Every retry and extra destination counts. Excludes endpoint execution and transfer overage. The 7-day DLQ retention isn't presented as queue retention.
